Monika Batkova’s friend came to Slovakia and stayed with Monika while presenting dōTERRA essential oils to elderly people. She asked Monika to translate, but Monika was not interested in the oils. She was excited for Sharon to leave so they would stop smelling up her home. Then, she learned about the business opportunity and she was stunned. She had begun a different network marketing business just the month before, and she could tell the dōTERRA compensation plan was far superior. She was devoted to the business aspect from the very beginning. She says, “I think this is key for any new country that opens up for dōTERRA—you have to have a committed and fully devoted entrepreneur that believes in his or herself to start with.”
It actually took Monika about four months before she discovered what a “gift from heaven” the essential oils really were. She says, “Once you have a strong experience, nothing will ever stop you from getting these oils to every family you know, even if you are shy and introverted like me.” Monika has partnered with her friend, Martina Valnickova, as well as their husbands. She says, “We trust and support each other. dōTERRA in Slovakia is growing because of them.” Occasionally they will disagree, but they have learned that their differences make them stronger. She says, “The life I have now I would not exchange for anything in the world. I know so many people that have bettered their lives and I personally have space for my dreams.”

When we started doing the business side of dōTERRA, I remember thinking how amazing it would be to get to Diamond. It seemed so far away, but we decided early on that this was a goal worth working hard to get too because of the dierence it would make to us as a family. Now we are here, I really can\'t believe it, we are very excited!
I absolutely love working with these oils. My favourite part is still hearing success stories from those we share the oils with but this is closely followed by the opportunity we now have to help others on the way to achieving their financial goals.

When we first started the business we thought that becoming a Diamond would mean something completely dierent than what it actually turned out to be. Initially we thought it was going to be about lifestyle and achievement, however, it has much to our delight turned out to be something much more valuable and rewarding. The process of refinement that we went through to achieve Diamond was something that challenged us both to the core. Rosie led the way and one her key phrase was “are we acting like Diamonds right now?” Are we making the decisions, are we behaving and are we speaking like we should be.
We are always striving to be better and the key to our success has been to never give up and to constantly keep growing, changing and improving in every way we can. We had talked about hitting Diamond before, but we had never actually committed fully until Monday the 26th of October 2015. Rosie just decided that day that it was time for us to hit it once and for all, and after doing the numbers to see what was needed to be done, we went to work on getting it done. For us, Diamond was a pathway of sacrifice, personal development and a whole lot of overcoming our own limiting beliefs. Obviously our Leaders and their teams were pivotal to our achievement and we are forever grateful for their determination and vision in sharing the oils and achieving the I goals. The greatest reward of October was seeing new levels of leadership emerge, new Silvers and a new Gold. Once people in your team start breaking leadership ranks it is the greatest feeling. Our Diamond rank paled in comparison to the feeling of happiness we felt seeing our leaders hit their goals. To make success contagious you need proof that more than just you can do it. You need silvers, you need Golds and eventually Platinums and Diamonds. This eventually creates a \'Success Encouragement Team\', a concept the late Roger Anthony taught us from the very beginning. Also if you can surround yourself with amazing people, anything is possible. From our close friends in the European Mastermind Group to our incredible leaders Seth & Rod, we are grateful for their friendship, mentoring and wisdom. We would like to dedicate our diamond rank to our gorgeous little boy Paddy, he unknowingly helped us on every level in our business and gave us a lot of strength through some of the tougher days. We hope for him that he never knows any limitations, sees opportunity in all his challenges and has the strength and courage to never give up on his dreams.

What a tremendous two-year experience with dōTERRA it has been for us so far!\r\nFirst we just wanted to use the oils for ourselves but soon we felt that there was much more we had to do, we had to share the oils! His team is spread out over 7 dierent European countries, with great leaders in each country.\r\nHeike is not only family, she is soul family too, dedicated just as we are and combining her experience as emotional healing coach and reiki master with the power of aroma therapy. In a part of Germany, where internet is sometimes far to search for and many people do not speak English, she excels in becoming a self-supporting leader of a strong team, finding new ways of sharing the oils with others.\r\nWe literally ordered a second Thorsten from the universe and got our delivery swiftly: Thorsten is a health expert too with many years of experience and his world got swooped just like ours when he felt the oils. Now he is sharing them with many other experts and creating a team of holistic health coaches in the Netherlands.\r\nHendrika and Hussein are our newest leaders, passionate as we are, they keep surprising us with their experience and powerful vision.\r\nWe love to co create with each member in our team and are dedicated to all our users, sharers and builders. Roger Duce worked with Emily Wright before she and the other founders started dōTERRA. He kept in contact with her, and eventually decided to join dōTERRA as a corporate employee. At the same time, his wife, Emmanuelle’s good friend Brianne Hovey wanted Emmanuelle to join her dōTERRA team as a Wellness Advocate. At first, Emmanuelle was not interested. She had a very busy job and no time for anything else. A few years later, she had to leave her job for health reasons, and Brianne approached her again about dōTERRA. This time, Emmanuelle discovered that the product really worked and other people wanted it. Before long, she made the decision to become a Wellness Advocate.
When Roger quit his job to join her, it was a transition for both of them. He says, “It was the first time that I really had to confront that I was involved in network marketing…Now, I had to look myself in the mirror and say, ‘You came to England to get an MBA, and now you’re a network marketer.’ That was a challenge for me.” Both Roger and Emmanuelle had been managers before, and they quickly learned that that style of leadership does not work in a dōTERRA team. Emmanuelle says, “You can enable or you can empower. If I do everything for people, that sends the wrong message. Putting the ball back in their court and validating their choices is much more powerful.
